According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Trish Stratus is currently in talks with WWE about a wrestling match at Summer-Slam. The PPV is taking place in Stratus’ hometown of Toronto, Canada.
Stratus last wrestling match in WWE was in October of last year, when she competed in a 10-woman tag-team match on RAW the day after Evolution. Her team of Lita, Sasha Banks, Bayley and Natalya defeated Mickie James, Alicia Fox and The Riott Squad.
It’s unclear who Stratus’ opponent will be, but based on what happened at yesterday’s Smackdown Live, it looks likely to be Charlotte Flair. The Queen did a backstage promo after her match, demanding that she will be on the Summerslam card. She wants to prove why she’s the greatest female Superstar of all-time. She stated her opponent will be someone who is “better than Ember Moon”.
Charlotte further hinted her opponent will be someone from the past, when she called herself the “Queen of all of ERAS of Women’s Wrestling” on Twitter.
Summer-Slam will take place at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada on August, 11th. 6 matches have been announced so far.
